In these terms, “Animations Media”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to the relevant Animations Media entity responsible for the interview or recruitment process.

2. Purpose of the Interview

The interview is part of Animations Media’s recruitment and candidate screening process.

It may be used to assess:

  • communication skills;
  • English language ability;
  • Malayalam language ability, where relevant;
  • technical awareness;
  • understanding of AI tools;
  • ability to research and test digital tools;
  • problem-solving approach;
  • clarity of thought;
  • work attitude;
  • remote-work readiness;
  • suitability for the role applied for.

Completing the interview does not guarantee selection, internship placement, employment, freelance work, contract work, or a permanent role.

3. Candidate Eligibility and Accuracy

By taking part in the interview, you confirm that:

  • the information you provide is true, accurate, and not misleading;
  • you are the person completing the interview;
  • you have not asked another person to answer on your behalf;
  • you have not misrepresented your qualifications, skills, experience, or identity;
  • you understand the role requirements before submitting your interview;
  • you have the availability and ability to participate in the role if selected;
  • you will inform us if any important information you provided changes.

If we later discover that information provided by you is false, misleading, copied, or dishonest, we may reject your application or withdraw any offer made.

4. Video and Audio Recording Consent

The interview may require you to record and submit video and audio responses through XInterview or another interview platform.

By continuing with the interview, you agree that:

  • your video and audio responses may be recorded;
  • your recorded responses may be stored for recruitment purposes;
  • your responses may be reviewed by authorised Animations Media recruitment or management team members;
  • your responses may be assessed and compared with other candidates;
  • your interview may be used to support shortlisting and hiring decisions;
  • your interview will not be publicly shared or used for marketing without your separate permission.

If you do not agree to video and audio recording, you should not proceed with the video interview and should contact us before the deadline, where applicable.

5. Use of Interview Platform

The interview may be conducted through a third-party platform such as XInterview.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • you have a working internet connection;
  • your camera and microphone are functioning properly;
  • you are using a suitable device and browser;
  • you are in a quiet and appropriate environment;
  • your face and voice are clearly visible/audible where video is required;
  • you complete the interview before the deadline, if a deadline is given;
  • you follow all instructions displayed on the interview platform.

Animations Media is not responsible for technical issues caused by your device, browser, internet connection, camera, microphone, power supply, or the third-party interview platform.

However, we may, at our discretion, allow a retake if there is a genuine technical issue and if platform settings, deadlines, and fairness to other candidates allow it.

6. Interview Rules

While completing the interview, you must:

  • answer questions honestly and in your own words;
  • complete the interview yourself;
  • avoid impersonation or assistance from another person;
  • avoid submitting copied, scripted, false, or misleading answers;
  • avoid sharing confidential information from previous employers, clients, institutions, or third parties;
  • avoid offensive, discriminatory, abusive, defamatory, or inappropriate content;
  • avoid recording, downloading, copying, or misusing interview platform content;
  • avoid sharing interview questions, screenshots, recordings, or assessment materials publicly.

You may prepare before the interview, but your submitted answers must reflect your own understanding, communication ability, and suitability for the role.

7. Use of AI Tools During the Interview

Some Animations Media roles may involve AI awareness, AI research, prompt writing, tool testing, digital operations, or workflow improvement.

Unless the interview instructions clearly allow it, you should not use AI tools to generate or read your live interview answers during recording.

We want to assess your own:

  • communication style;
  • clarity of thought;
  • practical understanding;
  • confidence;
  • ability to explain ideas;
  • suitability for the role.

If an assessment specifically asks you to use, test, or explain an AI tool, you should be transparent about:

  • which tool you used;
  • how you used it;
  • what prompt or method you tried;
  • what result you received;
  • what limitations you noticed.

Using AI dishonestly, hiding AI-generated answers, or presenting AI-generated work as your own may affect your application.

8. Confidentiality of Interview Content

All interview questions, assessment tasks, instructions, company information, internal examples, and recruitment communications shared with you are confidential.

You must not:

  • share interview questions publicly;
  • post screenshots or recordings of the interview process;
  • publish assessment tasks online;
  • disclose internal company instructions;
  • share confidential company information;
  • use interview content for personal, commercial, training, or public purposes without permission.

This confidentiality obligation continues even if you are not selected.

9. Candidate Materials and Submitted Content

Any answers, files, documents, links, portfolios, work samples, or other materials you submit must be your own or properly authorised for use.

You confirm that:

  • you have the right to submit the materials you provide;
  • your submissions do not infringe third-party rights;
  • your submissions do not include confidential material from another person, employer, client, institution, or organisation without permission;
  • your submissions do not contain unlawful, harmful, offensive, or misleading content.

Animations Media may review, store, and use your submitted materials for recruitment and assessment purposes.

10. Selection Process

Animations Media may use your interview responses, application details, CV, portfolio, communication with us, assessment tasks, and internal review notes to make recruitment decisions.

We reserve the right to:

  • shortlist candidates;
  • reject candidates;
  • request additional information;
  • request further interviews or assessments;
  • verify information provided by candidates;
  • contact candidates for clarification;
  • pause, change, or cancel the recruitment process;
  • decide not to fill a role;
  • not provide detailed feedback to every candidate.

Selection will be based on role requirements, candidate suitability, communication skills, technical understanding, work attitude, availability, and overall fit.

11. No Guarantee of Selection or Employment

Completing the interview does not create an internship, employment, freelance, contractor, partnership, agency, or business relationship between you and Animations Media.

Any offer of internship, employment, freelance work, or other engagement must be confirmed separately in writing by the relevant Animations Media entity.

Any offer may be subject to:

  • verification checks;
  • reference checks;
  • identity confirmation;
  • availability confirmation;
  • agreement to role-specific terms;
  • completion of onboarding requirements;
  • applicable company policies;
  • legal or compliance requirements.

12. Technical Issues and Retakes

If you experience a genuine technical problem during the interview, you should contact us as soon as possible using the contact details provided in the interview communication.

Retakes are not guaranteed.

A retake may be allowed at Animations Media’s discretion, depending on:

  • the nature of the technical issue;
  • whether the issue can be reasonably verified;
  • platform limitations;
  • interview deadline;
  • fairness to other candidates;
  • role urgency;
  • recruitment timeline.

We may refuse a retake if we believe the request is not genuine, is too late, or would be unfair to other candidates.

13. Professional Conduct

We expect all candidates to behave respectfully and professionally during the recruitment process.

We may reject an application if a candidate displays:

  • abusive or inappropriate behaviour;
  • harassment;
  • discrimination;
  • dishonesty;
  • impersonation;
  • repeated failure to follow instructions;
  • misuse of company or platform information;
  • threatening or offensive communication;
  • deliberate disruption of the interview process.

14. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal information, application details, interview recordings, and submitted materials will be handled according to our Candidate Interview Privacy Policy.

Please read the Candidate Interview Privacy Policy before completing the interview.

For general website and client data handling, please read our main Privacy Policy.

15. Third-Party Platform Terms

If the interview is conducted through XInterview or another third-party platform, your use of that platform may also be subject to the platform’s own terms, privacy policy, cookie policy, and technical requirements.

Animations Media is not responsible for the platform’s independent terms, technical issues, data practices, availability, or system errors.

You should review the platform’s own terms and privacy information before using it.

16. Changes to the Interview Process

Animations Media may change the interview process where necessary.

This may include:

  • changing the interview questions;
  • adding or removing assessment stages;
  • extending or shortening deadlines;
  • moving candidates to another interview round;
  • cancelling or pausing the recruitment process;
  • changing the role requirements;
  • changing the number of available positions.

We will try to communicate important changes where reasonably possible.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Animations Media is not responsible for losses caused by your device, internet connection, browser, camera, microphone, or platform access issues;
  • Animations Media is not responsible for third-party platform downtime, upload failure, recording failure, or technical errors;
  • Animations Media is not liable for any loss of opportunity caused by incomplete, late, corrupted, or unsuccessful interview submissions where the issue is outside our reasonable control;
  • Animations Media is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the interview process;
  • Animations Media’s recruitment decisions are made at its discretion based on role requirements and candidate suitability.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

18. Relationship With Main Website Terms

These Interview Terms & Conditions apply specifically to candidates completing video interviews, assessments, recruitment tasks, internship applications, or screening processes with Animations Media.

For general use of our website and services, please read our main Terms & Conditions.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

For India-based roles, internships, recruitment processes, or interviews managed by Qbiq Studios LLP, the applicable law and jurisdiction may be India, unless otherwise stated in writing.

For UK-based roles, recruitment processes, or interviews managed by Brill Folks Ltd. trading as Animations Media, the applicable law and jurisdiction may be England and Wales, unless otherwise stated in writing.
